About Us
The Peace Advocacy and Research Organization
(PARO) is a non-governmental organization
committed to promoting global peace, anti-violence,
human rights, and pro-democracy through public enlightenment
campaigns, advocacy, academic research, and publications.
PARO envisions a peaceful world free from violence, wars,
domestic abuse, hunger, human rights violations,
and injustice—championing these causes through
rigorous research, informed advocacy, and the dissemination of knowledge.
As part of this mission, PARO publishes a series of international,
multi-disciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access journals—available
both electronically and in print. These journals focus on
a broad range of disciplines including Social Sciences, Humanities, Health
Sciences, Business Management, and Political Studies. You are
warmly invited to contribute by submitting your article to
any of our journals, as we work together to build a more just,
informed, and peaceful world.

The Peace Advocacy and Research Organization (PARO) was registered in 2013 in Nigeria as an
incorporated trustee, under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 1, 1990, with registration number:
CAC/IT/NO 62853.
Key Activities
--- Peace promotion meetings in 3 communities in Imo State, Nigeria.
--- Human rights advocacy, enlightenment and empowerment campaigns to 3 South-east States and 3 States in the South-south.
--- Campaign against Domestic Violence in 3 Southeast States.
--- Prison visitations in 3 South-east States and 2 States in the South-South.
--- Hospital visitations to 3 South-east States and 3 States in the South-South, Nigeria.
--- Visitations to police stations to advocate for the release of those unjustly detained.
--- Production and dissemination of educational materials.
--- Application of E-ISSN and PRINT-ISSN.
--- Preparations for our Journals’ publications.
--- Partnership with students and other NGOs on human rights advocacy, women rights, voter education, and enlightenment campaigns.
Future Plans
-- Expand our reach to more beneficiaries across the country and beyond.
-- Deploy our publications optimally towards the pursuit of local and global peace.
-- Increase our advocacy for human rights and anti-violence, inclusive and wholesome democracy, through social media, mass media, street shows, workshops, engagements.
-- Engage more with relevant stakeholders and strengthen our partnerships with government and governmental agencies.
-- Launch a new advocacy campaign on anti-narcotics, because of its strong correlation to domestic violence, human rights.
